Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the River Ock as a result of a period of sustained rain. Therefore, flooding of property has already occurred but wider flooding impacts are imminent. Peak levels will be higher than January 2024, however they will be significantly lower than July 2007. Chauntrelle Way, Orpwood Way and Nash Drive are the most vulnerable. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to remain high today and overnight We are monitoring the situation. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.) Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and do not drive or walk through flood water. This message will be updated by this afternoon, 25/09/2024, or as the situation changes.
