Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but now stable on the River Ock following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue through today 26/11/24. Levels are expected to be similar to those seen in January 2024. Areas most at risk are properties located closest to the River Ock on Mill Paddock, Orpwood Way, St Helens Mill, Nash Drive.
The forecast is for a predominantly dry day with further rainfall forecast tonight (26/11/2024) into tomorrow. River levels are expected to start to drop very slowly from this morning and through today. Levels remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again in response to forecast rainfall. We are monitoring the situation. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. This message will be updated this evening, 26/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.
