Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on the lower River Ouse remain high as a result of recent heavy rainfall associated with Storm Henk. River levels are now starting to fall from the peak levels reached on Thursday 04/01/2024, and are expected to continue to fall overnight into Friday 05/01/2024. Flooding is expected to affect locations near the River Ouse, particularly properties around Acaster Selby. Flooding of properties, gardens, roads and paths is expected. Further showers are forecast for the next few days and we expect levels to remain high. Please put your flood plan into action. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor river levels and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 2AM on Friday 05/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
