Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels on the lower River Ouse are falling slowly but remain high as a result of recent heavy rainfall associated with Storm Henk. Flooding is expected to affect locations near the River Ouse, particularly properties around Acaster Selby. Flooding of properties, gardens, roads and paths is expected. Levels are expected to remain high for the next few days but to continue falling. Please put your flood plan into action. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor river levels and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10AM on Friday 05/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
