Flooding expected. Take action now.
The level in the Westover Drain is stable but still high and flooding is expected to continue today Thursday 12 February 2026. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Parrett at Langport, with low lying land and roads most affected. Areas most at risk include Cheapside, Whatley Mews, Parrett Close, Bow Street, Moor Park and Westover Trading Estate. Pumping operations will start at Westover and Huish Episcopi stations once river levels allow. We are using the Parrett Relief Channel as river levels and water levels on the moors allow.
Thursday (12/02/26) will be a showery day. The outlook for Friday remains unsettled with further rain forecast. Saturday will be a predominantly dry day before unsettled conditions return on Sunday.
We are closely monitoring the situation, checking flood banks and spillways. Act on your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 1PM on 13/02/2026, or as the situation changes.
