Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Rising river levels have risen as a result of last nights rain. Flooding is expected from the morning of 27 January 2026 from 6:30AM onwards. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Parrett, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. Areas most at risk include the River Parrett downstream of Gawbridge and fields at Thorney and Kingsbury Episcopi. We are closely monitoring the situation. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
