Flooding expected. Take action now.
This is an update to the current Flood Warning. River levels remain high due to to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding is still possible. Areas most at risk include Alton Pancras, Piddletrenthide, Piddlehinton, Druce, Puddletown, Athelhampton, Affpuddle, Briantspuddle, Throop and Wareham including Purbeck View Park. Further rainfall is expected Friday and over the weekend, which may cause further river level rise. We are closely monitoring the situation. Continue using any flood protection products you may have and acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 14 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
