Flooding expected. Take action now.
This is a Flood Warning update. River levels remain high due to recent rainfall and the high groundwater. Flooding is still possible. Areas most at risk include Alton Pancras, Piddletrenthide, Piddlehinton, Druce, Puddletown, Athelhampton, Affpuddle, Briantspuddle and Wareham including Purbeck View Park. Although rain is expected today and tomorrow, the totals that are forecast are very low. We will continue to monitor the situation. Activate any flood protection products you may have. Please take care and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 3:30PM on 23 February 2026 or as the situation changes
