This is a Flood Warning Update. River levels remain high due to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding is still possible. Areas most at risk include Alton Pancras, Piddletrenthide, Piddlehinton, Druce, Puddletown, Athelhampton, Affpuddle, Briantspuddle and Wareham including Purbeck View Park. There is no further rainfall forecast for today and tomorrow. Unsettled weather bringing more rain is forecast for Wednesday. We are closely monitoring the situation. Continue using any flood protection products you may have and acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 17 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
