Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected on 14 December 2025 from this evening.
Locations most affected will be the river Rothay at Grasmere, White Bridge, Church Stile, Stock Lane and Lake View Drive areas. There is further expected rain through the night.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and closely monitoring the situation.
Don't put yourself or others at risk and take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
