Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on the River Rother are falling and are expected to continue to do so throughout today and overnight, 23/10/23. Pumps have been deployed in the area and we have operational staff on site who are continuing our pumping operations throughout the evening and into the night. While the current overall risk is greatly reduced, further rainfall is forecast overnight and into tomorrow, Tuesday 24/10/23. As such, we expect river levels to begin to respond and rise again from tomorrow afternoon and into the evening 24/10/23, however we do not expect the levels to be as high as in recent days. Flooding in areas adjacent to the river still remains a risk, so you should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated by 01:40 AM, 24th October 2023 or as the situation changes.
