Flooding expected. Take action now.
The rain forecast for today, 24/10/23, has now passed through the area. River levels on the River Rother have risen slightly in response to this rainfall and are forecast to peak in the next few hours, remaining much lower than at the weekend. We do not expect further significant rain tonight or tomorrow 25/10/23, so river levels will be able to continue to fall tomorrow and we do not expect there to be further flooding. Our pumps remain in the area. Standing water in areas adjacent to the river still remains a risk, so you should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Our incident room remains open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated by 03:15 AM, 25th October 2023 or as the situation changes.
