Flood warning

River levels have begun to rise again on the River Rother as a result of this morning’s rainfall (24/10/2023). Pumps have been deployed in the area and will become operational should there be a need for them.
While the current overall risk is greatly reduced, further rainfall is forecast today, 24/10/2023. As such, we expect river levels to begin to respond and rise further during the afternoon and into the evening, peaking late Tuesday night (24/10/2023).The current forecast does not indicate a risk of further flooding. Standing water in areas adjacent to the river still remains a risk, so you should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Our incident room remains open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated by 18:00, 24th October 2023 or as the situation changes.
