Flood warning

This flood warning remains in force due to very high river levels following Monday's heavy and persistent rainfall.
River levels in the Tapton area have now peaked and are slowly falling. Levels are expected to continue falling through the night into Tuesday 1st October 2024.

Weather conditions are expected to improve throughout Tuesday and no further significant rainfall is expected over the coming days.

Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not drive through floodwater.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.
