Flooding expected. Take action now.
Following last nights rain and snow melt, levels on the River Rother at Tapton have peaked and are now dropping.
Flooding remains possible. Areas most at risk are those adjacent to the river, including those on Brimington Road.
Levels are forecast to continue to fall throughout this afternoon, Monday 6t January. Wintry showers cleared the area this morning, and we expect it to be mainly dry and cold for the next few days.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses
We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes. This message will be updated by 22:30 PM on 06/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
