Flood warning

The flood warning for the River Seven at Great Barugh remains in force. The river level at Normanby is forecast to remain high throughout Thursday morning 21/01/2021. The river level at Normanby is 3.28m and flooding is likely along Marton Road. No further significant rainfall is expected today. Areas most at risk are properties around Barugh Lane. Levels are expected to remain high for several days. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. See the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and river levels. We are monitoring the situation closely, and will update this message in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
