The flood warning for the River Seven at Great Barugh remains in force. River levels have peaked and are beginning to fall, with no further rise forecasted. The river level at Normanby is currently 2.27m. Flooding is likely along Marton Road. No further significant rainfall is expected today. Areas most at risk are properties around Barugh Lane. Levels are expected to remain high for several days. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. See the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and river levels. We are monitoring the situation closely, and will update this message in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
