Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling but remain high at the Gloucester river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Alney Island.
Peak:- Gloucester docks peaked at 4.7m Friday evening, 05/01/2024.
We expect river levels to remain high in the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.
Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
This message will be updated by 7pm tomorrow, Monday 08/01/24, or as the situation changes.
