Flooding expected. Take action now.
The flood warning for the River Swale at Topcliffe remains in force. The current level at Maunby is 5.2m and is falling but expected to remain high overnight on Thursday and into Friday 22/01/2021. The level at Crakehill is 5.3m. No further significant rainfall is expected in the next 24 hours. Areas most at risk are Topcliffe Mill and the caravan park. The access road to Catton Lane and Mill lane is may also flood. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated on Friday morning, or as the situation changes.
