Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is possible.
River levels continue to steadily rise on the River Thame as a result of persistent rainfall over the last 48 hours. Therefore, flooding of property is possible overnight tonight (14/01/21), especially in the areas closest to the River Thame around the Thame and Wheatley areas.
No further rainfall is forecast overnight or tomorrow (15/01/21), but further rain is expected on Saturday. We expect river levels to stabilise overnight tonight.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in the area clearing weed/trash screens.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and avoid contact with flood water. Refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 15/01/21, or as the situation changes.
