Flood warning

Property flooding is possible.
River levels remain high on the River Thame following persistent rainfall. Therefore, the possibility of property flooding remains today (16/01/21), especially for properties closest to the River Thame.
The forecast is for rain to clear late this morning, leaving a dry afternoon. Levels are high but now slowly dropping between Aylesbury and Thame. Levels may rise again in response to further rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Our incident response staff have been in the area clearing weed/trash screens.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. Refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
This message will be updated this evening, 16/01/21, or as the situation changes.
