Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is possible. River levels are high on the River Thame. Therefore flooding of properties, low-lying land, and roads is expected to continue through this evening 29/09/2024. Areas most at risk are properties closest to the river where it passes through Drayton St Leonards, Newington and Chiselhampton. The forecast is for rain to clear this morning but with showers and periods of lighter rain later. River levels are starting to drop, but levels will remain sensitive to further rainfall. We are monitoring the situation. Avoid contact with flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated on Monday evening (30/09/2024), or as the situation changes.
