Property flooding is posible.
River levels are high on the River Thame. Therefore flooding of properties, low-lying land, and roads is expected to continue throughout Tuesday. Areas most at risk are properties closest to the river where it passes through Drayton St Leonards, Newington and Chiselhampton. Periods of light rain are expected throughout Tuesday, with a potential for some heavier patches, however this is not expected to make a large impact on river levels. River levels are falling slowly and are expected to continue to do so, but will remain sensitive to further rainfall.
We are monitoring the situation. Avoid contact with flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated on this afternoon (01/10/2024), or as the situation changes.
