Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is possible.
River levels are high but slowly falling on the River Thame. Therefore flooding of properties, low-lying land and roads is expected to continue this evening, 2 October 2024. Areas most at risk are properties closest to the river at Drayton St Leonards, Newington and Chiselhampton. River levels are expected to continue slowly falling over the coming days, but will remain sensitive to further rainfall.
We are monitoring the situation. Avoid contact with flood water and do not drive along flooded roads. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated on Thursday morning, 3 October 2024, or as the situation changes.
