Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is possible. River levels are increasing on the River Thames between Newbridge and Kings Lock following heavy rainfall earlier in the week from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of properties, low lying land, and roads is possible overnight, 28/11/2024. Peak levels are expected to be near to those seen in the January 2024 event. Areas most at risk are properties between Newbridge and Kings Lock above Oxford.

This evening and overnight is forecast to be mainly dry. River levels are still rising and may continue to rise again in response to water moving downstream. We are monitoring the situation. Avoid contact with flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
