Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames in the Playhatch, Sonning and Sonning Eye areas as a result of recent heavy rainfall and water moving downstream. Flooding of low lying land, roads and property is expected this evening and overnight, 06/01/2024, especially in the areas closest to the river. Areas most at risk are those closest to the river including Long Gardens and properties along Playhatch Road. Tonight and tomorrow are forecast to be mainly dry. We expect river levels to continue rising slowly over the next couple of days as water makes its way downstream. We are monitoring the situation. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 07/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
