Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 
Flooding is expected on 24 January 2026 . 
River levels have been rising overnight and will remain high throughout Saturday.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 07:00AM on Saturday. The main areas of concern are Taddiport (properties around Taddiport Bridge, Sewage Treatment Works and B3227) and Weare Giffard (riverside properties and roads). Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.

River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 05:00AM and08:00PM. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Activate any flood protection products you may have . 
This message will be updated by 3:30PM on 24 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
