Flooding expected. Take action now.
High river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected from the afternoon of 27 January 2026 .
Heavy rain has fallen in the area and further showers are expected.
Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 4:00PM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Taddiport (properties around Taddiport Bridge, Sewage Treatment Works and B3227) and Weare Giffard (riverside properties and roads). Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.
River levels are likely to remain high throughout the evening.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
