Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are beginning to recede at the Colwick river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing, but be cautious of standing water. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Bleasby and Boat Lane, at Gibsmere.

No further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Monday, 08/01/2024.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.

Please turn off gas, electricity and water and avoid contact with flood water.
