Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Colwick river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall and snowmelt. Consequently, flooding of property is possible to begin between 08:00 and 10:00 today, 08/01/25. Areas most at risk are Bleasby and Boat Lane at Gibsmere.
No further rainfall is forecast until the weekend. We expect river levels to begin falling tonight, 08/01/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water.
