River levels are high but falling at the Farndon river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of property flooding remains. Areas most at risk are the Newark Sugar Factory and Battery including Kelham Lane, Great North Road and Kelham Bridge.
No further significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high through this morning, Friday 10/01/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water.
