High river levels means the risk of flooding continues. Areas most at risk are the Newark Sugar Factory and Battery including Kelham Lane, Great North Road and Kelham Bridge. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at the Colwick gauge have now peaked and are beginning to fall slowly. Levels around Newark continue to rise, and are expected to peak in the early hours of tomorrow morning, 10/02/2026. River levels will remain high until Wednesday 11/02/2026. Activate any flood protection products you may have & move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 10/02/2026 or as the situation changes.
