Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high but steady at the North Muskham river gauge as a result of Storm Henk. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are the river frontage at North Muskham.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Saturday evening, 06/01/2024.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please follow advice from emergency services and avoid contact with flood water. Have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents.
This message will be updated by 17:00 this afternoon, 06/01/24, or as the situation changes.
