High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 13 March 2026 .
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Willington, Barrow upon Trent, Swarkestone, Bargate Lane and the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow, and Ingleby Lane. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Willington Gauge will remain high until tomorrow, 14/03/26.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
