River levels are rising on the River Tutt at Boroughbridge due to heavy rainfall associated with Storm Gerritt. Properties may begin to flood at this level. Put your flood plan in action. Further rainfall is expected throughout the rest of the week. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 1PM on 28/12/2023, or as the situation changes.
