Flood warning

This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely. The Waveney is expected to cross the flood warning threshold in the early hours of tomorrow, Monday 19th February 2024. River levels are continuing to rise following today's rain and will remain responsive to any further rainfall. Areas most at risk are riverside areas in Homersfield, Needham Mill, Brockdish, Scole and Diss, including the A143 at Scole and Homersfield, and the A1066 at Diss. The forecast is for a generally improving weather picture, but with the chance of the odd shower pushing through the catchment. The forecast is for some light showers on Monday 19 February and Tuesday 20 February. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message tomorrow, Monday 19th February 2024.
