Flood warning

This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely today, Tuesday 20 February 2024. We are currently seeing higher river levels than normal and levels will remain responsive to further rainfall. Areas most at risk are riverside areas in Homersfield, Needham Mill, Brockdish, Scole and Diss, including the A143 at Scole and Homersfield, and the A1066 at Diss. Further rainfall is forecast for today and overnight into Wednesday. Thursday has the potential for heavier rainfall, remaining unsettled for the rest of the week. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation closely. We will update this message on Wednesday 21 February 2024, or if the situation changes.
