Flood warning

This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely through today Wednesday 21 February 2024 and into the weekend. We are currently seeing higher river levels than normal in the area of Diss and levels remain highly responsive to further rainfall. Areas most at risk are riverside areas in Homersfield, Needham Mill, Brockdish, Scole and Diss, including the A143 at Scole and Homersfield, and the A1066 at Diss. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for continued unsettled weather through the week and into the weekend. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting the situation to escalate.
We will update this message by 6pm today, 21 February 2024 or as the situation changes.
