Flooding expected. Take action now.
High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected from overnight on 09 December 2025
A large band of heavy persistent rain continues to pass over the area and is forecast to last until early afternoon on Tuesday 09 December 2025. Flooding impacts could occur overnight into Tuesday morning. Flooding is expected in locations near the River Wriggle, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Deep Ford Lane and the Chubbs Farm area. Drier weather is forecast on Wednesday and Thursday and the situation should begin to improve.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . We are checking defences and clearing bridges, culverts and screens.
Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so . Refer to the local authority website for road closures.
