Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Old Wye Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue today 24/11/2024. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Rotherwas Hereford.
Observed peak:- Old Wye Bridge 5.2m at 07:45 Monday, 25/11/24.
No further significant rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours but showers are possible. We expect river levels to remain high for several days.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 17:00 on Monday 25/11/24, or as the situation changes.
