Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Old Wye Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected from tonight, 07/12/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Rotherwas Hereford. Predicted peak:- Old Wye Bridge 5.3m to 5.7m tonight, 07/12/24.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
This message will be updated by 11:00 on Sunday 08/12/24, or as the situation changes.
