Flooding expected. Take action now.
High river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected on 18 December 2025 .
A band of persistent rain is passing over the area and forecast to last until late afternoon. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Yeo, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around South Street, Ludborne Road and Sherborne Sewage Treatment Works in Sherborne and the Mole Valley Farmers area on the Sherborne Road near Yeovil. River levels are expected to fall on Friday evening (19th) but further flooding is expected overnight on Saturday 21st/Sunday 22nd as river levels rise due to further rainfall this weekend.
We are closely monitoring the situation and clearing blockages from debris screens.
Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
