Flooding expected. Take action now.
Waves are forecast to overtop sea defences at Sharpness to Oldbury-on-Severn, Shepperdine and Oldbury Power Station areas. Low pressure will cause sea levels to be higher than forecast in tide tables. Forecast high water is 08:30 on 11/03/20 with a level of 8.21 mAOD and a Force 5 South Westerly wind. Times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth gauge. For more detail refer to local tide tables. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Flooding is possible to roads and land for the Severn Estuary from Sharpness to Oldbury-on-Severn including low lying properties on Severn Lane, Worldsend Lane, Nupdown Lane and Shepperdine Road including Oldbury Power Station. Our incident response staff are closing flood gates. Owners with property flood resilience equipment please install now. Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves could be dangerous. This message will be updated Wednesday,11/03/20.
