Flooding expected. Take action now.
Low pressure will cause sea levels to be higher than forecast in tide tables. First forecast high water is 20:45 on 11/03/20 with a level of 8.56 mAOD and a Force 6 South Westerly wind. Second forecast high water is 09:00 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.49 mAOD and a Force 6 West South Westerly wind. Times are local and refer to high water time at Avonmouth. Flooding to roads and properties is possible at these times, but may apply two hours either side of the high tide. There is a possibility of flooding the Severn Estuary from Sharpness to Oldbury-on-Severn including low lying properties on Severn Lane, Worldsend Lane, Nupdown Lane and Shepperdine Road including Oldbury Power Station. Peak levels will be higher than the tide this morning, 11/03/20. Our incident staff are checking defences and closing flood gates. Take care along beaches, promenades and roads as large waves can be dangerous. This message will be updated on 12/03/20.
