Flooding expected. Take action now.
Low pressure will cause sea levels to be higher than forecast in tide tables. The forecast high water is 21:30 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.21 mAOD and a Force 7 West South Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth, mAOD is height above average sea level. The peak tide of this tidal cycle was Wednesday night, 11/03/20. Subsequent tides will be lower. Flooding to roads and properties is possible at these times, but conditions may apply one hour either side of the high tide. There is a possibility of flooding for the Severn Estuary from Sharpness to Oldbury-on-Severn including low lying properties on Severn Lane, Worldsend Lane, Nupdown Lane and Shepperdine Road including Oldbury Power Station. Our staff are checking defences and closing flood gates. Take care along beaches, promenades and roads as large waves could be dangerous. Please install property flood resilience equipment now. This message will be updated on Friday, 13/03/20.
