River levels have fallen on the Sherston Avon due to rainfall but are due to rise again this afternoon.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Sherston Avon, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Westport Bridge, The Maltings, St Johns Bridge, St Johns Street, Inner Silk Mills and The Mulberries from 11:30 AM on 02/01/2024.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area and we will continue to monitor closely.
Monitor your local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.
