Flooding expected. Take action now.
No further property flooding is expected.
Overnight river levels rose on the River Bure and Back Brook very quickly as a result of heavy rainfall. Levels have now fallen and therefore no further flooding of property is expected. However river levels do remain high and sensitive to further rainfall, especially in the Hanover Gardens and Chapel Street areas. Light showers are forecast today, with heavier rain forecast tomorrow 25/09/24 which could cause further flood impacts
We are closely monitoring the situation. Remain safe and aware of your local surroundings. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and move family, pets and cars to safety. This message will be updated this evening 24/09/24 or earlier if the situation changes.
