Flood warning

This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely through today, Thursday 14th January 2021. River levels are currently extremely high following the rainfall today. Areas most at risk are Noak Bridge, Barleylands Road, Southend Road, and riverside properties in Wickford. The forecast is for rain to clear the area this evening, followed by more settled conditions tomorrow which should allow for river levels to continue to fall. Further rain is however expected Saturday. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation, and will update this message by 09:00, Friday 15th January 2021.
