This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely through today, Thursday 28th January 2021. River levels are reacting quickly in response to the current rainfall. Areas most at risk are Noak Bridge, Barleylands Road, Southend Road, and riverside properties in Wickford. The forecast is for rainfall to continue through today with further heavy outbreaks to follow this evening. Be ready to take action to protect your property if flooding is expected. We are monitoring the situation, and will update this message by 18:00 today, Thursday 28th January.
