Flood alert

High river levels on Friday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 06 February 2026 , as 25mm of rain fell in the last 48 hours.
This is a modest amount but follows recent wet weather. Flooding is affecting low lying land and Horsebridge Road, Broughton, and will be close to property at Duck’s Lane, Church Street and The Square at Nether Wallop, where it may flood gardens. Tomorrow (07/02/26) up to 20mm of rainfall is forecast. If this is realised the river will respond again. Following light showers (7mm) on Sunday (08/02/26), further rainfall is forecast for Monday (09/02/26) and Tuesday (10/02/26). River levels will remain higher than normal, and flood risk will continue into next week.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have .
